albelli acquires monAlbumPhoto from M6 Group

Amsterdam, 27 July 2018 – albelli BV, one of the leading European photo product companies, today announced the acquisition of monAlbumPhoto, from its former shareholder M6 Group (‘M6’). The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

monAlbumPhoto is a leading e-commerce player in France in the printing and processing of photo books and personalised photo products. More than 1.3 million photo products were produced in 2017, generating sales in excess of €30 million. M6 Group acquired monAlbumPhoto in 2010 and company sales have increased 10-fold since then.

One year ago, albelli was acquired by Gilde Buy Out Partners and Management from Cimpress. The company set out on a journey towards accelerated international growth. A first step was the acquisition of ReSnap, a fast-growing technology-based company using artificial intelligence (AI) to enable consumers to create personalised photo books in a fully automated easy way.

The acquisition of monAlbumPhoto combines the European reach, marketing, technology and manufacturing expertise of albelli with the unique local market strength of monAlbumPhoto. As the new owner, albelli supports the strategy that was formulated and implemented by the current management team, which is focused on further expanding its leading position in the French photo products market with a superior quality, functionality and service offering.
